Extrasensory perception (ESP), also commonly referred to as the sixth sense, involves reception of information not gained through the recognized physical senses but sensed with the mind. The term was coined by German psychical researcher, Rudolf Tischner, and adopted by Duke University psychologist J. B. Rhine to denote psychic abilities such as telepathy and clairvoyance, and their trans-temporal operation as precognition or retrocognition. ESP is also sometimes casually referred to as a sixth sense, gut instinct or hunch, which are historical English idioms. The term implies acquisition of information by means external to the basic limiting assumptions of science, such as that organisms can only receive information from the past to the present.

Parapsychology is the study of paranormal psychic phenomena, including ESP. Parapsychologists generally regard such tests as the ganzfeld experiment as providing compelling evidence for the existence of ESP. The scientific community does not accept this due to the disputed evidence base, the lack of a theory which would explain ESP, and the lack of experimental techniques which can provide reliably positive results.

The scientific consensus, as expressed by the National Science Foundation, has identified and described ten subjects, including extrasensory perception, and they consider belief in those subjects to be pseudoscientific beliefs.

Have you ever met the person with real extrasensory perception?

A. people would laugh at me for saying this but i am one of those people as far as the people i have affected are concerned. i seem to be able to read minds with simple physical contact like holding hands and i can i guess u cud say, foretell the future? i see images in my head and the people i am "reading" always find a significant connection to it. i have also read the mind of one of my peers, as in everything she thought, popped into my head and it freaked me out more than it freaked her out. so i guess people classify me as a clairvoyant or whatever thats called. peace \m/

Is this an ok sentence? Any suggestions on others?
Q. I'm writing a persuasive paper with the topic of extrasensory perception (ESP). and I was wondering if i would have a few example sentences with the word "wonderment" and I would like to know if this sentence is any good or is even grammatically correct for that matter? Don't we all have a sense of wonderment towards that unknown? Also should i add "to us" after the word "unknown"

A. If you're writing a persuasive paper, you may not want to leave the question open to the reader (unless that is your intent). Here are some suggestions, in question form: Don't we all have a sense of wonder towards the unknown? Aren't we all curious of the unknown? Don't we all want to know what lies within the unknown? Don't add 'to us' at the end; it becomes too wordy, and I think the readers will understand what you mean without it.
